It was all a dream, and now its all a blur! When we first set up Athletes In Schools in 2012 our aim was simple; inspire a generation of future champions!
Athletes In Schools was set up by athletes, for the athletes. We identified that the UK was lacking quality role models in schools, and we made it our personal mission to change this, and help inspire the next generation of champions in the UK. The rest is history!
We created a UK Performance Pathway for school athletics which we like to call ‘Grassroots to Greatness,’ and from this Athletes In Schools began.
To date, Athletes In Schools have supported over 150 British Olympic / Team GB athletes, who make up part of our external coaching team.
We hold the title as the UK’s leading provider of inspirational Olympic / Paralympic athlete schools visits, And although we understand this is a huge claim to have, we feel our achievements speak for themselves. Let us explain how!
